What is allergy testing?
Allergy Testing is something that an individual undertakes in order to determine if they are allergic or intolerant to certain foods, drinks, E Numbers, animal hairs, odours or gases. The common tests performed are simple forms of muscle testing known as Kinesiology and the Vegatest which is an electromagnetic instrument. Both of these methods have been shown in practice to be extremely effective and accurate.
The preferred option for many individuals is Kinesiology for the following reasons:
- It is simpler to use and involves the patient in no discomfort
- It may be used with children, infants and the elderly; &
- It is possible through this accurate and painless method to identify all the patients’ allergens whether they are foods, chemicals or environmental pollutants such as traffic fumes and other chemicals, dusts, hair, pollens and so on.
What is an allergy?
Allergic symptoms can be triggered due to a high level of stress, however there is also likely to be an inherited malfunction of the immune system, with both of these factors playing their part in development of the problem.
Severity of the symptoms caused by the allergy can increase or decrease depending on the individuals stress levels at the time the allergy occurs.
Common allergy symptoms can appear in the following areas of the body, some of which are obvious targets:
When it comes to food and drink allergies, many individuals will exclude the foods/drinks which they believe are causing the allergy from their diet and whilst this doesn’t seem difficult to do, we can sometimes unnecessarily avoid foods based on incomplete information about potential food-allergies and as a result are put at risk for malnutrition, all of which can be avoided nowadays by visiting a registered therapist and having the muscle test.
