There are many charities registered in the UK. To be eligible they must be established for charitable purposes only and they are subject to the High Court’s charity law jurisdiction.

Within the healthcare sector there are a number of charities that provide excellent work for the community.

Examples of well known health related charities include:

  • The British Heart Foundation
  • Cancer Research UK
  • Parkinson’s UK
  • Alzheimer’s Society
  • Bowel Cancer UK

There are also a great number of smaller local charities which support excellent health related causes within their area such as:

  • The Tom Bowdidge Foundation
  • Farleigh Hospice
  • Essex Recovery Foundation

We have provided charity fundraising over the years to help them raise funds and awareness within the local area. Above all we have had fun and involved many local businesses, friends and family which was definitely worthwhile.

When it comes to hospice charities, it should be noted how heavily they rely on charity donations. At this moment in time, hospice donations are needed more than ever before because many fund raising events have had to be cancelled.

Without a doubt hospices provide a service to the community that we would not want to be without. To clarify, they do not just provide care for terminally ill cancer patients but to anyone suffering with a life limiting illness and their families.

Before you donate funds, you can check the official register to ensure they are legitimate and registered in the UK. Above all, you want to ensure your money is going to a worthy and legitimate cause.
